295 viewsJVG342M update.
We purchased the car from Wooleys Garage in Hingham last October and are currently getting it ready for a respray. All the paint has been rubbed back to primer - there is a bit of rust but nothing that can't be put right. Hoping to have the car back on the road for the summer.
The aim is to get the car as original as possible. Will probably redo the interior as well - unfortunately the dashboard has a big crack in it -sun damage.
Kind regards
William Layzell

Michael De Cock 290 viewsI would just like to inform you that I own a BIG beetle, but as it originates from Belgium, I am not sure it is eligable for you register. Anyway, here is my story:
Back in September 1973, my father bought a Hellas Metallic BIG Beetle. As I was only born in 1976, it was the first car that I known my parents to have. In 1984, the date came for my father to part with his beetle as it had done 120000km and was suffering from a slipping clutch when it exceeded 80kph. The interior had also seen better days (ri
